ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
POLICY STATEMENT
FAM Construction (Private) Limited; recognizes the importance of environmental protection and is committed to operating its business responsibly and in compliance with all legal requirements relating to the provision of building, civil engineering and ground works contracting services. It is the Organizations’ declared policy to cooperate with and maintain good relations with all regulatory bodies. To this end the Company will establish and maintain a Quality Management System compliant with IS0 standards. It is the objective of FAM Construction (Private) Limited; to carry out all measures reasonably practicable to meet and exceed its environmental objectives set out in national and international Environmental laws and to strive to continually improve environmental performance.
This objective will be achieved through:-
- Assessing and regularly re-assessing the environmental effects of the Company's activities; taking such steps as necessary to deal with any issues identified.
- Training of employees in environmental issues.
- Minimizing the production of waste.
- Minimizing material wastage.
- Minimizing energy wastage.
- Promoting the use of recyclable and renewable materials.
- Eliminating or reducing the production of pollutants to water, land and air.
- Controlling noise emissions from operations
- Minimizing the risk to the general public and employees from operations and activities undertaken by the Company.
This Policy is communicated to all employees, suppliers and sub-contractors and is made available to the public. This Policy is reviewed periodically to ensure that it remains compliant with the requirements of IS014001:2004.
